Paddle With Us (after New Year)
We still have a few slots available on our Core Team for the 2016 Tour. If you are up for the challenges and have been looking for the opening, please email us at email@example.com to get more information.
If 8 days on the water is more than you are looking for, you can still have the chance to paddle with Hope Floats NC during this year’s tour. If you like to paddle, want to give cancer a good paddling, come out and join us for a Taste of the Tour. A Taste of the Tour is open to paddlers who would like to join us for one (1) day of the Tour. Paddlers of any skill level will find a day of the Tour suitable for them to join us. You can check the notes in the Shop to find out which days are restricted to advanced paddlers. The cost for a Taste of the Tour is $45 per person and includes shuttle and an event T-Shirt.
For more intermediate and advanced paddlers who are up for a little more adventure you can try a Slice of the Tour. Paddlers on a Slice of the Tour will be able to join the team for 2 consecutive days of the tour. Paddlers can pick a pair of days with shorter mileage or go for a big slice of 65 miles. Paddlers taking a Slice of the Tour will camp overnight with the team and get a real feel for what it is like to make a long distance paddling trip. The cost to join us for a Slice of the Tour is $85 per person and includes dinner on your first day, breakfast on your second day, an event T-Shirt and shuttle from your takeout back to your vehicle where you joined the tour. Participants joining us for any of our events are responsible for their own equipment. You will also be responsible for your lunch, snacks and beverages while on the water paddling. If you are camping overnight on a Slice of the Tour you must provide your own camping gear. After registering you will get a detailed list of items that you may need while staying overnight. Registration fees are non-refundable. Our 2015 Tour will take place rain or shine. To join us just go to our online store and click on your choice of package. All participants are required to fill out a release of liability before participation.
*Deadline for registration is March 1, 2015 to receive a team shirt. Absolute deadline to register is March 20, 2015*
Please note that this is not a leisurely paddle. Our team is on a mission and we have many miles to cover. Participants should have no expectation of a slow lazy day on the river and are expected to keep pace with the team. Also please be aware that the last day of the tour is in relatively open water and to participate on that day paddlers must have previous open water experience and be paddling a craft suitable for open water conditions. If you have questions concerning paddling with us during the Tour, please contact us using the form below.
