2013 Mission Complete!

Our 2013 Tour is complete and was our most successful to date raising more than $16,000 in the fight against cancer.  THANK YOU to all our friends, family, supporters and sponsors, without you this wouldn’t have been possible.  It was an arduous journey but one that we will continue to make until we finish the fight and rest assured that no one will again suffer from cancer.

Our Mission

Cancer has affected all of us.  You may have a family member, friend or a co-worker who has battled the disease, or you may be battling it yourself.  Cancer not only does damage to the body but can leave permanent scars on its victims and their loved ones.  The mission of Hope Floats NC is to combine our passion for kayaking with our desire to raise awareness of cancer.  Each year we make a week-long trip of 180 miles from Raleigh to New Bern paddling down the Neuse River to carry our message and raise money for the American Cancer Society.  We paddle to honor those who have battled cancer, to remember loved ones lost and to fight back against the disease by participating in Relay for Life.  We paddle to give HOPE!
